Three local artists held a contemporary exhibition of their “idyllic water scenes of Taupo”.
Michelle Edlin works with vibrant acrylic colours which provide rhythm and form to uplift the senses. Nancy Tschetner creates unique artwork using shades of natural New Zealand sands. Truly inspirational. Sally-Ann Davies has a passion for print making. She combines the techniques of mono-printing and woodcuts to portray the local environment.
This exhibition ran for two weeks during 2013 Queen’s Birthday weekend.
Taupo Intermediate School and Treetop Kids were treated to an hour or so at the Gallery during the 3 WAI exhibition. Sally-Ann explained and questioned the students about the three different methods used in the 3 WAI exhibition. For many this was their first visit to an art gallery and from all accounts they all enjoyed meeting the artists.
